I have built a few blogs and I didn&#039;t need to know Linux to do so. It helps to know a little programming if you are building databases into your site, but not at all required for most blogging.

You can set up a blog at blogger.com for FREE in less than 30-minutes. The software is somewhat limited, but I see a lot of great blogs on blogger.

I first used blogger, became familiar with blogging, then moved on to WordPress. WordPress offers more features - it&#039;s also FREE - and the support community is excellent. Hope this helps.
